Cauliflower Dry Sabji

In this Post I share the recipe Cauliflower Dry Sabji. It is one of the simple recipe.First we blanch the cauliflower florets.Then we fry garlic,onion,tomato along with some spice powders.Then we add cauliflower and fry it well.Add some coriander leaves and serve.Now lets see the required ingredients and step by step instructions for this recipe...

Ingredients:

Cauliflower 250gms.
Garlic(Finely Chopped) 6 To 10 Nos.
Onion(Sliced) 2 Nos.
Tomato(Sliced) 2 Nos .
Green Chilly(Finely Chopped) 2 Nos.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Kashmir Red Chilly Powder 1 Tbsp.
Coriander Powder 1 Tsp.
Garam Masala Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp.
Oil 1 Tbsp.
Curry Leaves Few.
Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.
Water as Required.
Salt to Taste.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Seperate the cauliflower florets.Heat water in a pan,add florets,turmeric powder and salt.Boil it for 5 minutes.Strain the left over water and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan,season with mustard and curry leaves.Add garlic,green chilly and fry until golden brown.
  • Add onion.Fry it well.
  • Add tomato,salt and fry it for 1 minute.
  • Add coriander powder,kashmir chilly powder,garam masala powder and fry it for 2 minutes.
  • Add the cauliflower,mix and fry it well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve with rice,roti,etc.,


Pictorial Description:

Blanch the cauliflower with turmeric powder and salt.Keep it aside.


Heat oil in a pan,season with mustard seeds,garlic,green chilly and curry leaves.


Add onion and fry.


Add tomato and fry.


Add salt and fry.


Add kashmir chilly powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder to it and fry for 2 minutes.


Add cauliflower,mix and fry it well.


Garnish with coriander leaves.


Serve with rice,roti,paratha,etc.,

Samosa is one of the famous and all time favourite fried snacks of India.During rainy days eating samosa with tea/coffee is a best one. This Samosa can be made with different variation. Here I Share the Samosa recipe made of wheat flour with bakery style aloo(potato) stuffing.

Potato is one of the key ingredient used in this recipe. Potatoes are one of the vegetables used by peoples all over the world. We can cook some delicious foods like french fries,chips,tikki,curry/gravy,samosa,etc., using this potato. In this Post I share the recipe Bakery Style Aloo(Potato) Samosa. Samosa is usually contains 2 parts,one is samosa sheet which is made up of any flour and the another one is stuffing,it may vary like potato stuffing,tapioca,minced meat,etc., Here I prepare the samosa sheet made of wheat flour and the stuffing made of aloo(potato).
First we knead a soft dough to prepare the samosa sheet.Then prepare the potato stuffing.Take one sheet,make a cone shape and paste the edges with water. Then add the stuffing and seal it.Fry the samosas in hot oil both sides until it becomes crispy and golden brown color.Now our Bakery Style Aloo(Potato) Samosa is ready,enjoy with tea or coffee.

Ingredients:

For Samosa Sheet:

Wheat Flour 1 Cup.
Ajwain(Omam) 1/2 Tsp.
Salt to Taste.
Ghee 4 Tsp.
Water as Required.

For Stuffing:

Boiled Potatoes 2 Numbers.
Onion(Finely Chopped) 1 Small.
Green Peas 1/4 Cup.
Cashewnut(Chopped) 1 Tbsp.
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp.
Green Chilly(Chopped) 1 Number.
Coriander Leaves few.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Cup.
Red Chilly Powder 1 Tsp.
Coriander Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Garam Masala 1/2 Tsp.
Cumin(Jeera) Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Chaat Masala Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Coriander Seeds 1 Tsp.
Cumin(Jeera) Seeds 1 Tsp.
Lemon Juice 1 Tsp.
Oil 2 Tbsp.
Salt to Taste.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • In a mixing bowl,add wheat flour,ajwain,salt,ghee.
  • Gradually add little water and knead it to form a hard dough. Keep it aside.
  • For stuffing,heat oil in a pan.Season with cumin seeds,coriander seeds.
  • Add onion,green chilly and fry.
  • Add ginger garlic paste,cashewnuts and fry.
  • Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,garam masala powder,coriander powder,cumin powder,chaat masala powder,salt and fry it well.
  • Add green peas,potato and mash and fry it well. Add few coriander leaves and lemon juice.Mix it well.Now our stuffing is ready.
  • Seperate the dough into small balls.
  • Roll the balls into a circle shape thin roties.
  • Cut it into 2 halfs.
  • Take one half,apply water on one side of the sheet(refer picture).
  • Make a cone shape and seal it(refer picture).
  • Add the stuffing inside the cone(refer picture).
  • Seal it(refer picture).
  • Heat Oil for frying.
  • Put the sealed samosa into the hot oil,fry it until it becomes crispy and golden brown.
  • Now our Bakery Style Aloo(Potato) Samosa is ready. Serve it with Tea/Coffee.

Add green peas.


Add boiled potato.


Mash and mix it well.


Add lemon juice and coriander leaves.Mix it well


Now our stuffing is ready.


Seperate the dough into small balls.


Roll it out into thin circle shaped like roti.


Cut the sheets into half.


Apply water on one side edge of the sheet.




Fold it into a cone shape and seal it.

Now add the stuffings into the cone.

Apply and seal it well.

Heat Oil for frying.

Put the samosa into the hot oil. Note the oil must be in medium heat.Fry it well until it becomes crispy and golden brown.

Now our Bakery Style Aloo(Potato) Samosa is ready. Serve with Tea/Coffee.

Butter Garlic Mushroom


Butter Garlic Mushroom is one of the sidedish made of mushroom,garlic and some sauces.This side dish becomes a great combination for fried rice,noodles and also it is a good starter food.Here I shared the recipe that I have tried.

Ingredients:

Mushroom(Roughly Chopped) 200gms.
Garlic(Finely Chopped) 6 To 10 Nos.
Onion(Finely Chopped) 1 No.
Kashmir Red Chilly Powder 2 Tsp.
Soya Sauce 2 Tsp.
Red Chilly Sauce 1 Tsp.
Vinegar 1 Tsp.
Butter 2 Tbsp.
Oil 1 Tbsp.
Spring Onion Greens for Garnishing.
Salt to Taste.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Heat butter and oil in a pan.
  • Add garlic and fry until golden brown
  • Add onion.Fry it well.
  • Add kashmir red chilly powder and fry it for 1 minute.
  • Add vinegar,soya sauce,red chilly sauce and fry it for 2 minutes.
  • Add the mushroom,salt and mix it well.
  • Cook it well until the sauce becomes thick.
  • Garnish with Butter Garlic Mushroom and serve hot with noodles,fried rice or as starter.
