Restaurant Style Chilli Chicken By Raji's Smart Kitchen "Cook Food in a Smart Way".


Chicken Recipes are all time favourite dish for the nonveg lovers.Using chicken we can cook many dishes like chicken biriyani,chicken curry/gravy with more variations,chicken fry,Chicken 65,Tandoori,soups,etc.,In addtion we can add chicken in making noodles,pastas,sandwiches,etc.,Here I share the recipe for Chilly Chicken in Restaurant Style that I have tried.

Nowadays we are mostly loved to cook food in a restaurant style.I am also like that category.When we go to restaurant I have the habit of doing research with the food we ordered like from what that food is prepared,what are things they added for more taste and so on.Then I tried the same recipe in home again and again until the same taste came.Here I share you recipe of chilli chicken in restaurant style.
There was a story behind this recipe also,On that day,After my son's annual day function was over,we went to a restuarant for lunch,we ordered veg chilli as starter.It was awesome in taste. My son enjoyed it very much. So I tried to cook the same at home finally I got the recipe for that.In this post I put chicken instead of veggies and named it as chilli chicken. You can also cook this same recipe in vegetarian version using cauliflower,carrot,potato,mushroom,paneer,broccoli,etc.,
For this recipe I used boneless chicken cut it into small pieces so that it gives more taste.We want to marinate the chicken by mixing sauces and flour then we deep fry it.Then we want to Prepare a sauce using sauce,flour and veggies.Lastly we add the fried chicken, mix and cook.Finally add few spring onion.Our awesome restaurant style chilli chicken is ready. Ok,Come on lets see the required ingredients and the step by step instruction for this recipe.

Ingredients:

For Marination:

Boneless Chicken(Cut it into small pieces) 1/2 kg.
Black Pepper Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Red Chilly Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Ginger Garlic Paste 2 Tsp.
Vinegar 1 Tsp.
Dark Soy Sauce 2 Tsp.
Beaten Egg 1 No.
Maida(All Purpose Flour) 3 Tbsp.
Corn Flour 3 Tbsp.
Salt to Taste.

For Sauce:

Onion(Cubed) 1/2 No.
Capsicum(Cubed) 1/2 Nos.
Ginger(Finely Chopped) 1 inch.
Garlic(Finely Chopped) 2 Nos.
Green Chilly(Finely Chopped) 1 or 2 Nos.
Capsicum(Cubed) 1/2 Nos.
Tomato Sauce 3 Tbsp.
Red/Sweet Chilly Sauce 1 Tbsp.
Soy Sauce 2 Tbsp.
Corn Flour 1 Tbsp.
Water 1/2 Cup.
Salt and Pepper as Required.
Oil 2 Tbsp.
Oil Required For Deep Frying.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • For making this recipe first step is to marinate the chicken with sauce for take boneless chicken in a mixing bowl,add black pepper powder,red chilly powder,ginger garlic paste,vinegar,soy sauce,1 beaten egg to it.Give a good mix.
  • Add maida,corn flour,required salt to it.Mix it well and marinate it for 1/2 an hour.
  • Heat oil in a pan for deep frying,put the chicken pieces one by one into the oil.Fry it well on both sides.Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a fry pan,add onion,capsicum,ginger,garlic,green chilly to it.Fry it for 1 minute.
  • Add soy sauce,chilly sauce,tomato sauce to it and fry for 1 minute.
  • Take 1/2 cup of water,add 1 tbsp corn flour,stir it well.Now add the corn water to the sauce.
  • Allow it to boil so that the sauce becomes thicken.
  • Now add the fried chicken into it,mix and cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Add required salt and pepper to it and give a good mix.
  • Turn off the stove,add few chopped spring onion to it.
  • Our Yummy Restaurant Style Chilli Chicken is ready.Serve hot.


Pictorial Description:

Take boneless chicken in a bowl,add all the sauces and eggs,give a good mix.


Add all flours and salt.


Mix and marinate it for 30 minutes.


Fry the chicken pieces in oil.


Keep it aside.


Heat oil in a pan,add onion,capsicum,ginger,garlic,green chilly to it.Fry it for 1 minute.


Add the sauces to it.


Fry it for 2 minutes.


Add corn water(1 Tbsp corn flour+1/2 cup water).


Boil.


Add the fried chicken.


Mix and cook it for 2 minutes.


Add required salt and pepper.


Turn off the stove and garnish with spring onion greens.


Now our Yummy Restaurant Style Chilli Chicken is Ready.Serve hot.


Note:

We notice that,in restaurants the fried food remains crispy for long time.It is possible in homemade?Yes,it is also possible by double frying method that the restaurants followed. First we fry the chicken or veggies in oil until it cooked well(here the flame must be in medium).Take it out and strain the leftover oil.After that again add the fried chicken or veggies to the oil and fry it well until crispy(Here the flame must be high) so that it remains crispy for long time.

Serving Suggestions:

This Chilly Chicken was served directly as starter or snacks.You can also accompany with fried rice,noodles.
