Ingredients:
Boiled Potatoes 3 Nos(Cubed).
Onion 2 No(Sliced).
Green Chilly 2 Nos(Chopped).
Ginger 1/2 Inch(Grated).
Turmeric Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Gram Flour(Kadalai Maavu or Besan) 1 Tbsp.
Mustard Seeds(Rai) 1 Tsp.
Urud Dal 1 Tsp.
Chana Dal 1 Tsp.
Coconut Oil 3 Tsp.
Salt to Taste.
Water as Required.
Curry Leaves a Handful.
Method:
- Chop all the Vegetables as given above.
- Heat Coconut Oil in a pan and season with Mustard,Urud Dal,Chana Dal and Curry Leaves.
- Add Grated Ginger and Green Chillies to it and fry.
- Add the Onions to it and fry until Onions becomes soft.
- Add Turmeric Powder and Salt to it and fry until raw smell goes out.
- Add 1 Tbsp of Gram Flour(Besan or Kadalai Maavu) to it and fry until the raw smell goes out.
- Add the Potato Cubes to it and mix well.
- Now add some water,cover with lid and boil.
- When the potatoes boiled completely, mash it well using potato masher.
- Boil until the curry becomes thicken.
- Garnish with Curry Leaves.
- Our Poori Potato Masala is ready(Poori Kilangu) is ready.
- Make some Poories.
- Serve Poori Kilangu(Poori Potato Masala) for Breakfast or Lunch or Dinner.
