Recipe Overview:

In this Post I share the recipe Simple Beans Carrot Stir Fry(Beans Carrot Thovaran).First we ground mixture using coconut,garlic,cumin(jeera) and spice powders.Then we fry the veggies along with some seasoning.Then we add little water and cook the veggies.Finally we add the ground mixture to it and mix it well.Our Simple Beans Carrot Stir Fry(Beans Carrot Thovaran) is ready.

Ingredients:

Beans(Finely Chopped) 20 To 25 nos.
Carrot(Finely Chopped) 2 Nos.
Onion(Finely Chopped) 1/2 No.
Green Chilly(Finely Chopped) 1 or 2 Nos.
Water as Required.
Salt to Taste.
Urud Dal 1 Tsp.
Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp.
Coconut Oil 2 Tsp.
Curry Leaves Few.

For Ground Mixture:

Grated Coconut 1/4 Cup.
Garlic Cloves 1 No.
Cumin Seeds(Jeera) 1 Tsp.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Red Chilly Powder 1 Tsp.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • For preparing ground mixture,take a mixie jar,add the ingredients given in the ground mixture,grind it in pulse mode for 3 times without adding water.Keep it aside.
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan,season with mustard seeds,urud dal and curry leaves.
  • Add onion and green chilly and fry it for 1 minute.
  • Add beans and carrot together along with required salt and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add 3/4 cup water and cook the veggies.
  • Now add the grinded mixture to it and fry for 1 minute.
  • Our Simple Beans Carrot Stir Fry(Beans Carrot Thovaran) is ready.

Pictorial Description:

Take a mixie jar,add all the ground mixture ingredients in it


Grind it in pulse mode for 3 times without adding water. Keep it aside.


Chop the veggies as mentioned.


Heat coconut oil in a pan.Season with mustard seeds,urud dal and curry leaves.


Add onion and fry for a minute.


Add green chilly and fry.


Add carrot and beans together.



Fry for 2 to 3 minute.


Add 3/4 cup water to it.Cook well.


Add required salt.


Fry it until the water evaporates.


Now add the ground mixture.


Mix and fry it well.


Now our Simple Beans Carrot Stir Fry(Beans Carrot Thovaran) is ready.
