Moong Dal Vegetable Soup


 Soup is one of the common starter dish arround the world.Here I share the soup recipe made Moong Dal and Vegetables which I have tried.

In this Post I share the recipe Moong Dal Vegetable Soup. Here first we going to cook dal and vegetable in pressure cooker. Then we add the spice powders and water,boil it. Now our soup is ready.Add some toppings and serve hot.

Ingredients:

Moong Dal 1 Cup.
Onion(Finely Chopped) 1 Nos.
Tomato(Finely Chopped) 1 Nos.
Garlic(Finely Chopped) 4 to 5 Nos.
Mixed Vegetable(Carrot,Beans,Green Peas,Cauliflower,etc.,)(Finely Chopped) 1 Cup.
CuminsSeeds(Jeera) 1 tsp.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Pepper Powder as Required.
Tomato Powder/Soup Powder 1 Tsp.
Coconut Oil 2 Tsp.
Water as required.
Salt to taste.
Coriander Leaves For Garnishing.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Heat a dry pan,Roast moong dal well.
  • Heat coconut oil in a pressure cooker,season with jeera.
  • Add chopped garlic cloves and fry it well until it turns golden brown color.
  • Add onion and tomato and fry it well.
  • Add all the vegetables and fry.
  • Add turmeric powder,tomato powder/soup powder,salt to it and fry it well.
  • Add moong dal,required water and pressure cook it for 5 whistles.
  • After releasing pressure,turn on the stove and add more water to it.
  • Add pepper powder and required salt.Boil it for 5 minutes.
  • Now our Moong Dal Vegetable Soup is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Transfer it to a soup bowl,add chopped onion,tomato,pepper powder as topping. Serve hot.

Pictorial Description:

Take 1 cup of moong dal in a dry fry pan.


Roast it well till aroma came out.


Cut the vegetables as mentioned.


Heat coconut oil in a pressure cooker.Season with cumin(jeera) seeds


Add garlic and fry it well until it turns into golden brown color.


Add chopped onion and fry.


Add chopped tomato and fry.


Add all the vegetables to it.


Add turmeric powder,salt and fry.


Add tomato powder/soup powder to it.


Add the roasted moong dal to it.


Add some water to it.


Pressure cook it for 5 whistles.


After pressure release open and turn on the stove.


Add more water to it.


Add pepper powder to it.


Boil it for 5 minutes.


Garnish with coriander leaves.


Now our Moong Dal Vegetable Soup is Ready.Transfer the soup to the serving bowls,add chopped onion,tomato,pepper powder as topping. Serve hot.
