Simple Tomato Kuzhambu(Simple Tomato Curry) By Raji's Smart Kitchen "Cook Food in a Smart Way"


Kuzhambu varieties is one the major dish which is always present in the dining table of South Indian homes that is prepared in different variance using veggies,meat,eggs,sea foods,etc.,This can be served with rice,idly,dosa,etc.,Here I shared the kuzhambu recipe that I have tried which is made of tomatoes.

In this blog I share the recipe of simple tomato curry.It is one of the easiest curry which can be served with rice.First we cook the tomatoes along with seasonings.Add the required masala powders to it and cook.Garnish with coriander leaves.Our simple tomato curry is ready.Come on lets check the ingredients and step by step procedure for this recipe.

Ingredients:

Tomato(Finely Chopped) 4 to 5 Nos..
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp..
Sambar Powder 1 to 2 Tbsp.
Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp
Asafoetida(Hing) 1/4 Tsp
Fenugreek Seeds(Methi) 1/4 Tsp.
Urud Dal 1 Tsp
Channa Dal 1 Tsp
Coconut Oil 3 Tsp.
Curry Leaves Few.
Water as Required..
Salt as Required..
Coriander Leavees For Garnishing.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a pan,season with mustard seeds,urud dal,channa dal,fenugreek seeds,asafoetida and curry leaves.
  • Add tomatoes and fry it for 1 minute.
  • Add turmeric powder,required salt and fry for 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Add sambhar powder and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add required water and cook the tomatoes well.
  • Turn off the stove,garnish with coriander leaves.Our Simple Tomato Curry is ready.Serve hot with rice.

Chop the tomatoes finely.

Heat oil in a pan,season with mustard seeds,urud dal,channa dal,fenugreek seeds,asafoetida and curry leaves.

Add tomatoes and fry for 1 minute.

Add turmeric powder ad salt and fry it for 1 or 2 minute.

Add sambhar powder and fry it for 1 minute.

Add required water.

Cook the tomatoes well.

Turn off the stove.Garnish with coriander leaves.


Now our Simple Tomato Kuzhambu(Simple Tomato Curry) is ready.Serve hot.
