Coconut Chutney


Coconut Chutney is one of the easy and best sidedish for Idly, Dosa, Vada, Appam, Idyappam, etc

Here I Shared the recipe followed by my mother.

Ingredients:

Grated Coconut    1 Cup.
Green Chilly    5 Nos.
Garlic    2 Cloves.
Ginger    1 Small Piece.
Tamarind    1 Small Piece.
Asafoetida(Hing)    1/4 Tsp.
Water as Required.
Salt.

For Seaoning or Tempering:

Coconut Oil    2 Tsp.
Mustard Seeds(Rai)    1 Tsp.
Urud Dal    1 Tsp.
Red Chilly    2 Nos.
Curry Leaves    Few.

Method:
  • Take all the Main Ingredients.
  • Add it to the Mixer Jar.
  • Blend it to a fine paste.
  • Transfer it in the serving bowl and adjust the consistency you want .
  • In a Tadka pan, season with seasoning ingredients.
  • Pour the sesoning to the Chutney.
  • Our Coconut Chutney is ready to serve with Idly,Dosa,Appam etc.,
