Onion is the key ingredient used in this recipe.In India,Onion plays a major role in making dishes. Onion contains nutrients that are used to control blood pressure. It also prevents cancer. It contains antibacterial properties can prevent as from bacterial infections. Here I share the links of some of the recipes that are cooked using onion.

In this Post I share the recipe Onion Chutney. First we grind onion,red chilly powder,tamarind piece,jaggery,salt into fine paste.Heat Oil in a pan,add the paste and little water into it and boil until the chutney becomes thick.Then heat sesame oil in a pan,season with mustard,jeera and urud dal and curry leaves.Pour the seasoning over the chutney. Now our chutney is ready. This Dish can be served with idly,dosa,etc.,

Ingredients:
Onion(Roughly Chopped) 5 Number.
Red Chilly Powder 1 Tsp.
Kashmir Red Chilly Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Jaggery 1 small piece.
Tamarind 1 small piece.
Salt to Taste.
Oil 1 Tsp.
Cumin Seeds(Jeera) 1 Tsp.
Urud Dal 1 Tsp.
Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp.
Sesame Oil 1 Tbsp.
Water as Required.
Curry Leaves Few.
Step By Step Instructions:
- In a mixie jar add onion,red chilly powder,kashmir red chilly powder,tamarind piece,jaggery piece and salt.Grind it into smooth paste.
- Heat Oil in a pan.
- Add the grinded paste and little water.
- Boil it until the chutney becomes thick.
- Once done transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan,season with mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urud dal and curry leaves.
- Pour the seasoning over the chutney.
- Now our Onion Chutney is ready to serve with Idly,Dosa,Vada,etc.,
