Restaurant Style Aloo Gopi Masala (Restaurant Style Potato Cauliflower Masala)

Potato is one of the key ingredient used in this recipe. Potatoes are one of the vegetables used by peoples all over the world. We can cook some delicious foods like french fries,chips,tikki,curry/gravy,samosa,etc., using this potato. Cauliflower is another key ingredient used in this recipe.Cauliflower contains more water that helps our body hydrated.It contains vitamin C that helps to boost our immunity.Choline plays a major role in our daily activities like sleeping,learning,playing,etc.,the neccessary cloline content is present in cauliflower.Here I share some links of the recipes made of potatoes that already included in this blog.


Recipe Overview:

In this Post I share the recipe Restaurant Style Aloo Gopi Masala(Restaurant Style Potato Cauliflower Masala). First we deep fry the aloo(potato) and Gopi(Cauliflower).Next we prepare ginger,garlic,chilly paste.Then we prepare the base gravy by sauting onion,tomato along with some spice powders. Now we add the fried aloo and gopi to it and saute well until the gravy becomes thick.Finally add pepper powder and mix well.Now our Aloo Gopi is ready. Garnish with Coriander Leaves. This Dish can be the served with chapathi,roti,naan,etc.,

Ingredients:

Potato(Aloo)(Roughly chopped) 2 Numbers..
Cauliflower(Gopi) Florets 1 Cup.
Onion(Finely Chopped) 2 Number.
Tomato(Finely Chopped or Pureed) 2 Number.
Green Chilly 2 Nos.
Ginger 1 Inch.
Garlic 5 to 6 Cloves.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Red Chilly Powder 1 Tsp.
Coriander Powder 1 Tsp.
Garam Masala Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Dry Mango(Amchur) Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Pepper Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Dry Fenugreek Leaves(Kasturi Methi) 1 Tsp.
Cumin(Jeera) 1 Tsp.
Oil 2 Tbsp.
Sugar 1/4 Tsp.
Salt to Taste.
Water as Required.
Oil for Deep Frying.
Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • First we deep fry Aloo(potato) and gopi(cauliflower) pieces in oil and keep it aside.
  • Then grind green chilly,ginger and garlic into paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and season with cumin seeds(jeera).
  • Add the ginger,garlic,green chilly paste and fry.
  • Add onion to it and fry it well until it turns golden brown.
  • Add Tomato to it and fry.
  • Add salt and sugar and fry it well until it forms a gravy
  • Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder,cumin(jeera) powder,dry mango(amchur) powder and fry it well.
  • Add dry fenugreek leaves(kasthuri methi) to it and fry.
  • Add water and boil it for 5 minutes.
  • Now add the fried aloo(potato) and gopi(cauliflower),mix it well and boil it until the gravy becomes thick.
  • Add pepper powder and mix it well.
  • Garnish with Coriander Leaves.
  • Now our Restaurant Style Aloo Gopi Masala is ready. Serve with Rice,Roti,Chapathi,Naan,etc.,

Chop the aloo(potato) and gopi(cauliflower) into chunks.

Heat oil for deep frying.

Deep fry gopi(cauliflower).

Deep fry aloo(potato)

Keep it aside.

In a mixie jar,add green chilly,ginger,garlic.

Grind it into a paste.

Heat oil in a pan and season with cumin(jeera) seeds.


Add the grinded paste.


Add onion and fry it well until it turns golden brown.


Add tomato and Fry it well.


Add salt and sugar and fry it until it turns into gravy state.


Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder,cumin powder(jeera powder),dry mango(amchur) powder and fry.


Add dry fenugreek leaves(kasthuri methi) and fry


Add water and boil it for 5 minutes.


Now add the fried aloo(potato) and gopi(cauliflower) and fry it well until the gravy becomes thick.


Add pepper powder and mix well.


Garnish with coriander leaves.


Now our Restaurant Style Aloo Gopi is ready.Serve with roti,chapathi,parathas,etc.,
