In this Post I share the recipe Aloo Tomatar.First we boil the potatoes.Then we cook tomato puree along with some seasonings and spice powders.Add the potatoes and cook. Our yummy gravy Aloo Tomatar is ready.Come on lets see the ingredients required and the step by step procedure for this recipe.

Tomato(Roughly Chopped) 5 Nos..
Baby Potatoes 500 gms..
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tsp
Kashmir Red Chilly Powder 1 Tbsp.
Cumin Powder(Jeera Powder) 1 Tsp
Garam Masala Powder 1 Tsp.
Dry Fenugreek Leaves(Kasthuri Methi) Few.
Fresh Cream 1 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds(Jeera) 1 Tsp
Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp
Oil 1 Tbsp.
Water as Required..
Salt as Required..
Sugar 1/4 Tsp
Curry Leaves Few.
Coriander Leaves For Garnishing.
Step By Step Instructions:
- Boil the baby potatoes,peel the skin and keep it aside.
- For tomato puree,grind the tomatoes to a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pan and season with mustard seeds,cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- Add the tomato puree along with ginger garlic paste,salt,sugar and fry it until raw smell goes out.
- Add kashmir red chilly powder,cumin powder and fry it for 1 minute.
- Cover and cook well.The oil seperates well.
- Add kasthuri methi to it and fry it well.
- Now add the cooked baby potatoes to it and fry it well.
- Add required water,cover and cook for 2 to 4 minutes.
- Add garam masala powder and fry it well.
- Add fresh cream to it,mix and cook for 1 minute.
- Turn off the stove.Garnish with few chopped coriander leaves.
- Now our Aloo Tomatar is ready. Serve hot with roti,chapathi,paratha varieties.

Boil and peel the skin of the baby potatoes.
Take the tomatoes in a mixie jar.
Grind it to a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan,season with mustard seeds,cumin seeds and curry leaves.
Add tomato puree,ginger garlic paste,salt and sugar to it.Fry it until raw smell goes out.
Add kashmir red chilly powder,cumin powder.
Fry it well for 1 minutes.
Cover and cook for 1 minute.
Now the oil seperates.
Add kasthuri methi to it and fry.
Now add the cooked potatoes.
Mix and fry it well for 2 minutes.
Add required water.
Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add garam masala powder and fry.
Add fresh cream and cook for 1 minute.
Turn off the stove.Garnish with coriander leaves.
Now our Aloo Tomatar is ready.Serve with roti,chapathi varieties.
