Spicy Beetroot Stir Fry


  

Spicy Beetroot Fry is one of the sidedish made by the combination of beetroot and a freshly grinded spice powder. Here I shared the recipe that I have tried.

In this Post I share the recipe Spicy Beetroot Stir Fry. It is one of the best sidedish for curd rice,sambhar rice. First we want to prepare a spice powder for that we roast some whole spices and grind it into a fine powder.Then we prepare the stir fry for that we heat oil in a pan and season with mustard,urud dal and curry leaves.Then we add onion and beetroot and fry.Then we add little water and cooked well.Now we add the spice powder we prepare already and fry it well.Now our Spicy Beetroot Stir Fry is ready to serve.

Ingredients:

Beetroot(Chopped Lengthwise) 250 gms.
Onion(Sliced) 1 No.
Water as Required.
Salt to Taste.
Urud Dal 1 Tsp.
Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp.
Oil 1 Tbsp.
Curry Leaves Few.

For Spice Powder:

Black Sesame Seeds(Black Ellu) 1 Tbsp.
White Sesame Seed(White Ellu) 1Tbsp.
Cumin Seeds(Jeera) 1 Tsp.
Dry Red Chilly 5 to 7.
Garlic 6 to 8 Cloves.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • For preparing spice powder,heat a pan,add all the spice powder ingredients and roast it well.
  • Cool down and grind it into a fine powder.Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and season with mustard seeds,urud dal,curry leaves.
  • Add sliced onions and fry it for 1 minute.
  • Add beetroot and salt and fry it well.
  • Add some water and cook well.
  • Now add the spice powder and fry it well.
  • Now our Spicy Beetroot Stir Fry is ready.

To prepare spice powder,heat a pan and add all the spice powder ingredients as mentioned above.


Roast it well.


Transfer it to a mixie jar.


Grind it to a fine powder. Keep it aside.


Heat oil in a pan.Season with mustard seeds,urud dal.


Add curry leaves.


Add sliced onion and fry for a minute.


Add sliced beetroot.


Add salt.


Add some water and cooked well.


Now our beetroot cooked well.


Now add the spice powder.


Mix well and fry it well.


Now our Spicy Beetroot Stir Fry is ready.
