Instant Vegetable Rava Idly


 Rava Idly is one of the common breakfast of India.This rava idly can be served with combination of chutneys and sambhar. Here I share the recipe of how to instantly make this rava idly.

In this Post I share the recipe Instant Vegetable Rava Idly.First we add rava,rice flour,curd and mix it well to form a thick batter.Leave it for 10 minutes.Then we saute the vegetables along with some seasonings.Now add the veg mixture into the batter.Add a pinch of baking soda and little water and mix well.Greese the idly plates.Pour the batter to each pits.Steam it.Now our Instant Vegetable Rava Idly is ready.Serve with some chutneys and sambhar.

Ingredients:

Rava 1 Cup.
Rice Atta 2 Tbsp.
Curd 2 Tbsp.
Chopped Onion as Required.
Chopped Beans as Required.
Grated Carrot as Required.
Grated Coconut as Required.
Chopped Green Chilly as Required.
Grated Ginger as Required.
Chopped Curry Leaves as Required.
Chopped Coriander Leaves as Required.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Mustard Seed 1 Tsp.
Urud Dal 1 Tsp.
Cumin(Jeera) 1 Tsp.
Asafoetida(Hing) 1/4 Tsp.
Baking Soda 1/4 tsp.
Salt to taste.
Water as Required.
Oil 2Tsp.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Take a bowl,add rava,rice atta,curd,salt and mix it well to form a thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan and season with mustard seeds,urud dal,cumin(jeera),asafoetida(hing) and curry leaves.
  • Add onion and green chilly and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add beans and carrot and fry it well.
  • Add turmeric powder and salt and fry.
  • Turn off the stove.Add some grated coconut and coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Transfer it to the batter.
  • Add required water,baking soda to it and mix it well, Now our batter is ready. Note: the batter must be thick.
  • Grease the idly plates,pour the batter into the idly mould.
  • Steam it for 10 minutes.
  • Now our Instant Vegetable Rava Idly is ready. Serve with some chutneys and sambhar.

Take a wide bowl.


Add rava to it.


Add rice flour to it.


Add curd and salt to it.


Mix it well to form a thick batter.Leave it for 10 minutes.


Chop the vegetables as mentioned.


Heat oil in a pan,season with mustard seeds,urud dal,cumin seeds(jeera),asafoetida(hing) and curry leaves.


Add green chilly.


Add onion and fry.


Add beans to it.


Add carrot to it


Add salt.


Add turmeric powder to it.Fry it for 1 or 2 minutes.


Turn off the stove,add grated coconut,coriander leaves.


Mix it well.


Transfer it to the batter.


Add required water and mix it well. Note: The batter must be thick for idlies.


Add baking soda and mix it well.


Now our batter is ready.


Grease the idly plates.


Pour the batter into the idly moulds.


Steam it for 10 minutes.


Take out from the steamer.


Unmould it and transfer it to a plate.


Now our Instant Vegetable Rava Idly is ready. Serve with chutneys and sambhars.
