Ladyfinger Pulav in Rice Cooker


Pulav is one of the rice dish made of combination of rice,veg,etc., In India there are so many varieties of Pulav are cooked. Here I share the Pulav made up of Ladyfinger.

Ingredients:

Basmati Rice    1 Cup.
Ladyfinger    250gms(Chopped).
Ginger Garlic Paste    1 Tsp.
Onion    2 No(Sliced).
Tomato    1 No(Cubed).
Green Chilly    2 Nos.
Cinnamon(Pattai/Dalchini)    1 inch..
Cloves(Kirambu/Lavang)    3 Nos.
Cardamom(Elakkai/Elachi)    2 Nos.
Bay Leaves(Biriyani Leaves/Tej Patta)    1 No.
Star Anise(Thakkolam/Chakra Pool)    1 No.
Black Pepper(Milagu/Kali Mirch )    1/4 Tsp.
Shah Jeera(Black Cumin)    1 Tsp.  
Turmeric Powder    1/4 Tsp.
Red Chilly Powder    1/2 Tsp.
Coriander Powder    1/2 Tsp.
Garam Masala    1/2 Tsp.
Briyani Masala    1 Tsp.
Oil    3 Tbsp.
Salt to Taste.
Water as Required 
Curry Leaves    Few.
Coriander Leaves    for Garnishing.

Method:
  • Take 1 Cup of Basmati Rice and soak in water for minimum 1/2 an hour.
  • Chop the Vegetables as mentioned above.
  • Heat Oil in a fry pan.
  • Add the chopped Ladyfinger into it.
  • Fry until the stickiness goes out and keep aside.
  • Turn on the rice cooker, Add Oil and all the whole garam spices.
  • Add Green Chillies and Curry Leaves.
  • Add Onion to it and fry until it becomes transulent.
  • Add Ginger Garlic Paste and fry until the raw smell goes out.
  • Add Tomatoes into it and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add Salt and fry until the tamatoes mashed.
  • Add Turmeric Powder,Red Chilly Powder,Coriander Powder and Garam Masala and fry until the raw smell goes out.
  • Add the fried Ladyfingers and mix well.
  • Add Biriyani Masala into it and fry for 1 minute.
  • Now add the Basmati rice into it.
  • Mix well.
  • Add 2 1/2 Cup of water and Coriander Leaves into it. Add the required Salt to it and mix well.
  • Cover the Rice cooker and cook 15 to 20 minutes. 
  • Now the Pulav is ready. 
  • Add some Coriander Leaves.
  • Cover and keep it in warm mode.
  • Serve Hot with some Raitha.
