Yummy Vermicelli(Semiya) Pulav


 Pulav is one of the common and favourite dish of India which is usually the combination of rice with vegetables and spice powders.Here I share the recipe of how to make pulav using vermicelli(semiya) can be served for breakfast as well as dinner.

In this Post I share the recipe Yummy Vermicelli(Semiya) Pulav.First we roast the vermicelli(semiya) well in ghee.Then we saute all the veggies along with spice powders.Add Vermicelli and cook well.Garnish with coriander leaves. Yummy Vermicelli Pulav is ready. Come on lets see what are the ingredients required and the step by step procedure for this recipe.

Ingredients:

Vermicelli(Semiya) 1 Cup.
Onion(Sliced) 1 Number.
Tomato(Sliced) 1 Number.
Chopped Carrot 1 Number.
Chopped Beans 5 to 7 Numbers.
Green Peas 1/4 Cup.
Chopped Green Chilly as Required.
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tsp.
Chopped Curry Leaves as Required.
Chopped Coriander Leaves as Required.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Red Chilly Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Coriander Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Garam Masala Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Briyani Masala Powder 1 Tbsp.
Mustard Seed 1 Tsp.
Salt to taste.
Water 2 cups.
Coconut Oil 1 Tbsp.
Ghee 1 Tsp.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Heat ghee in a pan.Roast the vermicelli(semiya) until it becomes golden brown color(not black).
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan and season with mustard seeds,green chilly and curry leaves.
  • Add onion and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry it well until raw smell goes out.
  • Add tomato and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder and garam masala to it and fry until raw smell goes out.
  • Add beans,carrot and green peas and fry it until 3/4 cooked.
  • Add biriyani masala powder and fry it well.
  • Add required salt and fry it well.
  • Now add the vermicelli to it.Mix and fry it well for 1 minute.
  • Add 2 cups of water to it.
  • Add some coriander leaves to it.
  • Give a good stir.Cover and cooked it for 5 minutes.
  • Now the veggies are cooked well.Fry and Mix it well until all water absorbs.
  • Turn off the stove.Garnish with some coriander leaves.Cover and leave it for 3 minutes.
  • Now our Yummy Vermicelli(Semiya) Pulav is ready to serve....

Chop the vegetables as mentioned.


Heat ghee in a pan.


Add vermicelli(semiya).


Roast it well until golden brown color(not black).


Transfer to a plate and cool it down.


Heat coconut oil in the same pan and season with mustard seeds,green chilly and curry leaves.


Add onion and fry it well.


Add ginger garlic paste and fry it well.


Add tomato and fry.


Add turmeric powder,coriander powder,red chilly powder and garam masala powder to it.Fry it well until raw smell goes out.


Add beans,carrot,green peas to it and fry until 3/4 cooked


Add biriyani masala powder to it and fry.


Add required salt and fry.


Add the vermicelli to it and mix it well.


Add 2 cups of water.


Add some coriander leaves.Mix it well.


Cover and cook it for 5 minutes.


Now the veggies are cooked completely.


Mix and fry it well until all water absorbs.


Garnish with some coriander leaves.


Turn off the stove,Cover and leave it for 3 minutes.


Now our Yummy Vermicelli(Semiya) Pulav is ready to serve.
