Radish Paratha(Mooli Paratha)


Paratha is one of the popular breakfast/dinner dish all over the North India.The paratha can be prepared in different style. Here I share the recipe of paratha stuffed with radish(mooli) that I have tried.

In this Post I share the recipe Radish Paratha(Mooli Paratha).It is one of the simple breakfast/dinner. First we prepare the dough for paratha.Make small dough balls.Then we make the radish stuffing.Then we stuff the stuffing into the dough balls and roll it.Toast the parathas by applying ghee or butter.Our tasty and healthy Radish Paratha(Mooli Paratha) is ready.Come on lets check the ingredients and step by step procedure for this recipe.

Ingredients:

For Dough:

Wheat Flour 1 Cup.
Ajwain 1 Tsp.
Black Sesame 1 Tsp.
Kalonji 1 Tsp.
Salt 1 Tsp.
Oil 3 Tsp.
Water for Kneading.

For Stuffing:

Radish(Peeled,Grated and Squeezed) 2 Nos.
Onion(Finely Chopped) 1 No.
Green Chilly(Finely Chopped) 2 Nos.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Red Chilly Powder 1 Tsp.
Garam Masala Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Cumin(Jeera) Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Chaat Masala 1/4 Tsp.
Coriander Leaves a Handful.
Salt to Taste.
Oil 1 Tbsp.

For Toasting:

Butter/Ghee for toasting.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Peel,Grate and squeeze the leftover water of the radish and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add green chilly and onion to it and fry for a minute.
  • Add radish,salt and all spice powders and fry it for 3 minutes.
  • Add a handful of finely chopped coriander leaves,mix it well and turn off the stove.Our stuffing is ready
  • For dough,take a mixing bowl,add all the ingredients(except water) given in the dough ingredients.Gradually add water and knead it form a dough.
  • Make small balls.Then make a bowl with the dough(edges must be thin and center must be thick)
  • Add the stuffing into it and cover the dough.
  • Roll the paratha by applying dry flour.
  • Heat the tawa,add the paratha and toast it well by appling ghee or butter.
  • Now our Tasty and Healthy Radish Paratha(Mooli Paratha) is ready and serve hot.

Pictorial Description:

Peel,grate and squueze the leftover water of the radish.


Heat oil in a pan,add onion,green chilly and fry for 1 minute.


Add the radish,salt and spice powders to it,mix and fry it for 3 minutes.


Add a handful of coriander leaves and mix well.Now our stuffing is ready.


For dough,in a mixing bowl,add the ingredients given in the dough ingredients section(except water).


Gradually add water and knead it to form a soft dough.


Make a bowl with the dough(edges must be thin and center must be thick),add the stuffings.


Cover and seal it.


Roll it by applying dry flour.


Toast it by applying ghee or butter.


Our tasty and healthy Radish Paratha(Mooli Paratha) is ready to serve.

Kanyakumari Special King Fish(Nei Meen/Surmai) Fry

It is one of the simple and traditional recipe in our place.First we marinate the fish with the spice powders.Then we swallow fry in oil and serve.Now lets see the required ingredients and step by step instructions for this recipe...

Ingredients:

King Fish(Nei Meen/Surmai) 1 Kg.
Red Chilly Powder 1 Tsp.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Coriander Powder 1 Tsp.
Pepper Powder 1 Tsp.
Oil for Swallow Fry.
Salt to Taste.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Cut and wash the fish for 3 times.
  • In a mixing bowl,add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder,pepper powder,2 tsp oil,required salt and mix it well.
  • Add the fish slices and marinate it for 1/2 an hour.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add the fish slices into it and swallow fry on both sides.
  • Our Kanyakumari Special King Fish(Nei Meen/Surmai) Fry is ready.Serve hot.


Pictorial Description:

Cut and wash the fish for 3 times.


In a mixing bowl,add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder,pepper powder,2 tsp oil,required salt.


Mix it well.


Add the fish slices.


Mix and marinate for 1/2 an hour.


Heat oil in a pan for swallow fry.


Add the fish slices and fry one side.


Flip it out and fry another side.


Our Kanyakumari Special King Fish(Nei Meen/Surmai) Fry is ready.Serve hot.

Ingredients:

For Single Serving:

Egg 1 no.
Bread Slices 3 Nos.
Finely Chopped Veggies(Onion,Tomato,Capsicum,Cucumber,Carrot,Beetroot,Green Chilly) 2 Tbsp.
Mayonnaise as Required.
Green Chutney Dip as Required.
Tomato Sauce as Required.
Grated Lettuce as Required.
Pepper Powder as Required.
Salt to Taste.
Butter as Required.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Fine chop all the veggies.Add required salt and mix it.
  • Toast 3 slice of bread by adding butter.
  • Make an egg omelette by sprinkle pepper and salt.
  • For assembling,Take a bread slice,add mayonnaise and veggies to it.
  • Place another slice over it,add the green chutney dip to it.
  • Now place the egg omelette over it.
  • Place few lettuce over it.
  • Take another bread slice,add tomato sauce to it.
  • Cover the sandwich with this bread.
  • Now our Simple and yummy Egg Sandwich is ready and serve.

Cover the sandwich.
