Tasty Raw Banana(Valakkai) 65


Raw Banana(Valakkai) 65 is one of the sidedish made of boiled raw banana(valakkai/plantain) mixed with freshly grinded masala paste. Here I shared the recipe that I have tried.

Recipe Overview:

In this Post I share the recipe Raw Banana(Valakkai) 65.It is one of the simple dry side dish recipe.First we boil and peel the skin of raw banana.Chop it into big pieces.Prepare a masala paste and marinate to it.Wait for 10 minutes.Pan fry it.Raw banana 65 is ready. Come on lets see the required ingredients and step by step procedure.

Ingredients:

Raw Banana(Valakkai) 6 Nos.
Oil 3 Tbsp.
Curry Leaves Few.

For Masala Paste:

Garlic Cloves 10 No.
Ginger 1 Inch.
Green Chilly 1 or 2 Numbers.
Fennel Seeds(Perunjeeragam/Suanf/Sombu) 1 Tsp.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Kashmir Red Chilly Powder 1 Tbsp.
Coriander Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Garam Masala Powder 1/2 Tsp.
Water Few Drops.
Salt to Taste.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Pressure cook raw banana for 1 whistle. Peel the skin and cut it into big pieces.
  • For preparing masala paste,take a mixie jar,add all the masala paste ingredients and grind it into a fine paste.
  • Marinate the raw bananas with masala paste and allow it for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add few curry leaves.
  • Add the raw banana to it and roast it one side.
  • Once done flip it to other side and roast.
  • Then we mix and fry it well until all the oil absorbs.
  • Now our Tasty Raw Banana(Valakkai) 65 is ready to serve.

Pictorial Description:

Take 6 raw bananas.


Pressure cook it for 1 whistle.


Peel the skin.


Chop it into big pieces as shown.


Take ginger garlic and green chilly in a mixie jar.


Add fennel seeds.


Add turmeric powder,kashmir red chilly powder,coriander powder,garam masala powder and required salt.



Add few drops of water and grind it to a fine paste.


Add the paste to the raw banana.


Marinate and leave for 10 minutes.


Heat oil in a pan and add few curry leaves.


Add the raw banana and roast for one side.


Flip and roast other side.


Mix and fry it well.


Now it is fried well and all the oil absorbs.


Now our Tasty Raw Banana(Valakkai) 65 is ready to serve.

Ingredients:

Eggs 2 Numbers.
Onion(Finely Chopped) 1 Number.
Tomato(Finely Chopped) 1 Number.
Capsicum(Finely Chopped) 1 Number.
Green Chilly 2 Numbers.
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 Tsp.
Turmeric Powder 1/4 Tsp.
Red Chilly Powder 1 Tsp.
Pav Bhaji Masala Powder 1 Tsp.
Oil 1 Tbsp.
Water as required.
Salt to Taste.
Sugar 1/8 Tsp.
Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.
Pav as Required for Serving.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a pan,saute green chilly,onion for 1 minute
  • Add ginger garlic paste to it and fry until raw smell goes out.
  • Add capsicum and tomato to it and fry for 2 minutes. 
  • Add salt,sugar and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add turmeric powder,red chilly powder,pav bhaji masala powder and fry for 1 minute.
  • Add little water and cook for 2 minute.
  • Add 2 egg to it.Mix it gently and leave for 30 seconds.
  • Now fry it well until it not stick to the pan.
  • Add some coriander leaves to it.Egg bhurji is ready.
  • Toast the pav by applying butter either in microwave or pan for serving.
  • Now our Street Style Egg Bhurji Pav is ready.Enjoy with pavs...

In this Post I share the recipe Red Amaranthus(Sengeerai) Sambhar. It is one of the easiest sambhar.First we pressure cook the toor dal.Clean and chop red amaranthus.Fry shallots(sambhar onion),amaranthus in a pan and cook in tamarind water.After that add dal and sambhar powder.Boil it well.Garnish with Coriander Leaves.This Dish can be the served with hot rice.

Ingredients:

Red Amaranthus 1 Bunch.
Tamarind Lemon Size Soaked in 1 Cup of Water.
Shallots(Sambhar Onion) 15 to 20 Nos.
Toor Dal 1/4 cup.
Sambhar Powder 2 Tbsp.Click the link to Buy.
Sugar 1/4 Tsp.
Salt to Taste.
Cumin Seeds(Jeera) 1 Tsp.
Asafoetida(Hing) 1/4 Tsp.
Mustard Seeds 1 Tsp.
Curry Leaves Few.
Coconut Oil 1 Tbsp.
Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.

Step By Step Instructions:
  • Pressure cook toor dal for 2 whistle and keep it aside.
  • Clean and chop the red amaranthus.Soak lemon size tamarind in water for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the shallots until soft.
  • Add the red amaranthus and salt to it.
  • Add the tamarind water to it and cook well until amaranthus strinks.
  • Add the cooked dal to it,mix and boil for 5 minutes.
  • Now add the sambhar powder,mix and cook well until raw smell goes out.
  • Add sugar to it and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add some coriander leaves.Turn off the stove.
  • Heat oil in a tadka pan,season with mustard seeds,cumin seeds,asafoetida and curry leaves.
  • Pour the tadka over the sambhar.Now our Red Amaranthus(Sengeerai) Sambhar is ready.
  • Serve with hot rice.

Pictorial Description:

Soak lemon size tamarind in water for 30 minutes.

Pressure cook toor dal for 2 whistles.

Add red amaranthus and salt.

Add tamarind water and cook it well.
Add cooked dal,mix and boil.



Add Sambhar Powder,mix and boil.
Add sugar and boil.
Add some coriander leaves.Turn off the stove.

Prepare seasoning/tadka.

Pour the tadka over the sambhar.

Now our Red Amaranthus(Sengeerai) Sambhar is ready. Serve with hot rice.
